Ferretti Group has confirmed its attendance at the 43rd edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, scheduled for September 8-13, 2020. The Italian builder will premiere five yachts amid a showcase of 20 yachts ...
Ferretti Group models making their debut at the show this year are the Riva 88’ Folgore, Ferretti Yachts 500 and 43wallytender, accompanied by the 48wallytender X, which will be presented for the first time in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) market. The Pershing 7X will be seen on the water for the first time in Cannes, after being shown at boot Düsseldorf in January.
Ferretti Group will present its entire fleet during the annual Ferretti Group Private Preview event, held in collaboration with the yacht Club of Monaco.
Riva 88’ Folgore
The latest Riva sportfly, the first to be launched by Ferretti Group since the onset of Covid-19 lockdowns, is characterised by lines and elements inspired by the automotive world. The Riva 88' Folgore combines innovative materials like carbon fibre with traditional elements such as mahogany inlays and steel decorations. The garage door swings open and can be positioned in two ways: parallel to the waterline, to take advantage of a 6-square-metre beach club, and immersed, to allow the launch and landing of the tender.
The glass hardtop, located on the superstructure, can be opened up and tilted toward both the stern and bow, to let in fresh air during navigation or when at anchor. Owners have the option of three different layouts for the master cabin.
Ferretti Yachts 500
The new Ferretti Yachts 500 offers a sleek, aerodynamic design and streamlined shapes. The stern features a soft and sporty design, with new solutions and generous spaces, while the profile of the hull proposes an enhancement of the windows, characterised by wide, modern shapes. The interior spaces are designed to offer the owner opportunities typical of larger vessels.
For the first time, Ferretti Yachts 500 reveals two interior design options: classic, with warm tones, and contemporary, inspired by Mediterranean colours.
Pershing 7X
The latest in the Generation X range of models, the 21-metre Pershing 7X aims for increased lightness through the furnishings, use of lightweight alloys, and the installation of lithium batteries rather than traditional ones. These solutions have made it possible to achieve a displacement of just 35 tonnes, resulting in a significant reduction in consumption compared to previous models for the same speeds.
The muscular exterior design, which features side wings on the exterior bulwarks, is strongly reminiscent of the style of racing cars.
48wallytender X
A combination of four Mercury 450 hp Verado R engines and a light, carbon fibre hull design results in impressive top speeds and very fuel low consumption for extended range. This new day cruiser provides a quiet ride thanks to reduced noise and vibration, as well as user-friendly joystick controls for easy manoeuvring.
The deck layout of the 48wallytender X is as welcoming and comfortable as the inboard version, including generous seating, sunbeds and alfresco dining catered by the well-equipped galley unit. And with the sideways-opening bulwarks, the open “beach” effect on the aft of the boat is included as standard in this model.
43wallytender
This 13-metre luxury tender model features a new “centre cockpit”, which is designed to offer protection from the elements at high speed without sacrificing the easy access of a walkaround.
Drawing on design features from the 47wallypower model, the 43wallytender is a fast runabout that can carry up to 12 people at speeds over 40 knots. Its versatility makes it ideal as a day-cruiser for the family, a tender for both sailing and motor superyachts, or a resort shuttle.
The first unit, to be completed in August 2020, will be “Gator Green”, a metallic green named in honour of the company’s first sailing yacht, Wallygator.
