ROGER DUBUIS UNVEILS EXCALIBUR PIRELLI ICE ZERO2

Luxury watchmakers Roger Dubuis and tyre specialist partner Pirelli have launched the Excalibur Pirelli Ice Zero 2 timepiece, setting their sights on mechanical, horological and automotive extremes in snow-bound Sweden for a test-drive event.

Pushing all existing technical and aesthetic boundaries as far as they will go, Excalibur is Roger Dubuis’ favourite platform of expression. Against this background, and articulating its ‘disruptive materials and progressive complications’, of recent years, serial innovator Roger Dubuis has drawn inspiration from other industries to defy existing watchmaking codes at every level.

One such example of these exclusive alliances is the now two-year-old and much acclaimed “Perfect Fit” partnership between tyre expert Pirelli and Roger Dubuis, characterised by privileged exclusivity and a common focus on aesthetics in the respective R&D driven approaches of each, along with superlative technical engineering and high-tech materials. In February will thus see the pure adrenalin rush of a chance to test these brand-new high-power tyres at the Pirelli proving ground in Flurheden (Sweden), complete with a sneak preview of the latest Roger Dubuis interpretation of cutting-edge tyre technology.

The new Roger Dubuis Excalibur Pirelli Ice Zero 2 bears its famous skeleton signature in the format of a double flying tourbillon oscillating at a frequency of 2 x 3 Hz, further enhanced by a differential mechanism that calculates the optimum average of both regulators; and equipping the eight-piece limited edition Excalibur Pirelli Ice Zero 2 timepiece with a strap complete with the same state-of-the-art titanium nail studded pattern.

The latest Roger Dubuis Excalibur is further equipped with a QRS ‑ Quick Release System for easy strap changes and delivered with one additional free strap and one additional free crown

The Excalibur Pirelli Ice Zero 2’ is limited to just 8 piece
