THE $40,000 FERRARI - ART EDITION - COMES COMPLETE WITH ITS OWN STAND

The 514-page masterpiece simply titled “Ferrari" costs more than a second hand ferrari ...

Published back in 2018 and priced at $60,000 the Taschen’s Ferrari Art Edition book written by motoring journalist and Ferrari expert Giuseppe Allievi was a Ferrai masterpiece much like the cars themselves. Spanning 514 pages it explored the history of the iconic Italian marque showcasing hundreds of previously unseen photographs and documents from Ferrari’s own archives

Presented with its own sculptural stand created by Marc Newson designed to look like a classic V12 Ferrari engine the book was launched in two versions: the first, a ‘Collector’s Edition’ of 1,697 books; and the second, a far rarer ‘Art Edition’ limited to just 250 copies. personally signed by former Ferrari top officials Sergio Marchionne, John Elkann, and Piero Ferrari.

Most recently number 236 of the 250 Art Edition volumes was recently up for sale on the Collecting Cars platform and was sold for £30,250 (around $40,000). This example of Taschen’s ‘Ferrari’ is made all the more special by the fact that it retains the original delivery crate for safe storage and transportation, the white reading gloves, and the pre-launch ‘prelude’ book.
