The ongoing COVID 19 pandemic has changed the way we enjoy football at the moment and with no fans allowed in stadiums you would have thought that clubs would be watching the pennies but NO, this loss of revenue surprisingly hasn't however stopped clubs spending big during this seasons transfer window with a whopping £2.5 billion spent....
Despite financial constraints being felt across the world the top 5 European leagues: La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Premier League all dug deep this window with the Premier League spending the most dishing out £1.24 billion on 107 new signings whilst recouping just £365.15 million in sales.
The biggest spenders of the window were the Blues with more than £226.1m spent on players with the signings of Kai Havertz for £75.8 millions the most expensive.
