ELATION REVEALS "FREEDOM"

Northern California-based Elation Hypercars recently unveiled its first four-wheeled electric hypercar the Elation Freedom. ...

A limited edition electric hypercar, which is being built and tested in Silicon Valley, is the result of five years of research and development by company founder and CEO Carlos Satulovsky and his Argentine engineering and design team.

New renders released by the brand depict the prototype version which is nicknamed Dogo 001 as a reference to the Dogo Argentino - a dog breed famous in South America for its strength and power. The renders are "a preview of our vision becoming reality," said Carlos Satulovsky, CEO of Elation Hypercars. "While our prototyping phase has been well underway for some time now, we are incredibly excited to share the physical manifestation of our car with the world."

Promising a staggering 1,414 horsepower that can be boosted to 1,903 horsepower via an additional motor the Elation Freedom will be powered by a 100 kWh lithium ion battery along with three or four electric motors creating a silent and sustainable speed demon that will go from zero-to-62 mph time of 1.8 seconds hitting a maximum speed of 260 mph, which in supercar terms is on par with the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

The Elation Freedom also claims to be able to offer a 400-mile range on a single charge.

Set to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show in early 2022, the $2 million two-seater supercar also boasts a carbon-fiber chassis that weighs only 180 pounds (81 Kg) and will be limited to only 25 examples per year.
