Rumors have been doing the rounds that Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has secretly bought the world’s most expensive car the -one-of-a-kind $12.5 million Bugatti La Voiture Noire - But did he?
Unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show the one off Bugatti La Voiture Noire instantly became the world’s most expensive car with a price tag of $12.5 million and the most exclusive. Taking its inspiration from the Type 57 SC Atlantic of the 1930s, the French hypercar specialist insists that this is more than just a modern interpretation thereof.
Bugatti describes it as a tailor-made creation only comparable with the haute couture of exclusive Paris fashion designers.
So as one of the world's most celebrated footballers and with an affinity for super-cars, he has a collections of over 19 supercars which includes; Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari'sand two Bugatti hypercars, its little wonder that rumors have began to circulate that the Christian Ronaldo was the secret purchaser, however after some initial probing Ronaldo’s spokesperson have released this short curt statement: "The story isn’t true. He has not bought it.”
So, who did buy the Bugatti La Voiture Noire?
Unfortunately no one knows, the auction for La Voiture Noire was a very secret one, allegedly open to top Bugatti clients only, so it’s unclear who actually won but two additional theories have circulated one that it was allegedly built built for Dr. Ferdinand Piëch, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche and former chairman of the Volkswagen Group which owns Bugatti and another that Boxer Floyd Mayweather won the auction showdown however given his flamboyant style we believe if he was driving this one off super luxury supercar we would most definitely know about it!
So until the mystery purchaser comes forward we will have to continue guessing ...
