TESLA'S BLADE RUNNER CYBERTRUCK RECEIVES 250K PRE-ORDERS!

Tesla’s all-electric Cybertruck which premiered earlier this month may have been marred by a smashed window and other glitches but that hasn't stopped (supposedly) Tesla receiving over 250,000 pre-orders already according to a recent tweet by Tesla CEO Elon Musk ...

Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck earlier this month at an event in Los Angels and immediately fans were struck by the pick-up trucks angular frame and non-conformist design, but then what did we expect from billionaire sci fan fan and CEO Elon Musk?

According to Musk the pickup is bulletproof resistant up to 9mm ammunition the common rounds that can be fired from handguns or machine guns. It supposedly has armored glass however during his unveiling of the Cybertruck, Musk threw a ball bearing at the windows resulting in the glass smashing - so as Musk says " some more work is required here!"

Powered by either 1, 2, or 3 electric motors ( depending upon the model you purchase) the Cybertruck packs rear-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations plus an autopilot mode plus if the renderings are to be believed it also comes with a pop-up camper.

The entry level version has a single motor and rear-wheel drive model, will cost $39,900, have a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds and more than 250 miles of range.

The middle version will be a dual-motor all-wheel drive, have a towing capacity of more than 10,000 pounds and be able to travel more than 300 miles on a single charge. The dual motor AWD model is priced at $49,900.

The top-end version comes with three electric motors and all-wheel drive, a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and battery range of more than 500 miles. This version, known as “tri motor,” and is priced at $69,900.

Tesla is now taking pre-orders for the Cybertruck, which cost $100 to apply for for which according to Elon has declared has reached 250,000. According to the company, these pre-orders aren’t actually considered as deposits for the vehicle, just a registration of interest. The Cybertruck is expected to go on sale late in 2021, with the tri-motor version following the year after.
