This year’s event showcased a celebration of supercars and concepts cars from some of the world’s biggest and best manufacturers like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. Here we unveil some of the coolest cars unveiled to the public.

BMW VISION M NEXT

BMW’s Vision M Next electric sports car concept looks like an old M1 and the modern i8 collided in the “Tron” universe and managed to produce something cool. As part of the brands M range, the BMW Vision M Next shows us an electrified future by placing the focus squarely on the actively engaged driver. Intelligent technologies on board provide comprehensive yet carefully targeted assistance to vastly improve a driver's skills behind the wheel turning them into the ultimate driver.

The all-electric sports car has an autonomous mode — as well as a sporty mode for those who want to drive their own car — and features a host of ultra-advanced driver assistance features and surprisingly it offers a total output of 600 horsepower (441 kilowatts), which produces a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) and enables the BMW Vision M NEXT to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just three seconds.

MCLAREN GT BY MSO

McLaren’s unveiled its latest model the upcoming 2020 GT that promises customisation on par with a Savile Row suit. McLaren’s Special Operations division says the GT is inspired by British architecture, and the interior brings that idea to life. The slightly metallic Flux White leather is shaped with MSO Bespoke Geoform Stitching, which incorporates an artistic angular design inspired by the geometric canopy seen in the British Museum in London, England. MSO applied the unique look to the seats, sun visor, armrests and door panels. Further touches include Satin Graphite leather accents, debossed MSO logos in the headrests, MSO Bespoke Silver Infused Carbon Fiber gear shift paddles and steering wheel clasp, and bespoke floor mats.

It’s powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine as the standard McLaren GT, producing 612bhp and 630Nm of torque and McLaren claims a 0–62mph time of 3.2 seconds.

Deliveries for the standard McLaren GT will commence this autumn, with prices starting from £163,000.

BUGATTI CENTODIECI

A 21st-century upgrade, the Centodieci meaning 110 in Italian is a modern interpretation paying tribute to the first BUGATTI hypercar of the 1990s, the legendary EB110.

Aerodynamic changes include a sizable rear wing instead of the graphic two-dimensional rear of the EB110 with its two pill-shaped tail lights, the Centodieci relies on a wide air outlet opening for more efficient engine thermals, bringing to life the flying tail light elements in graphic kinship with the EB110. It took several months to develop solutions to ensure a balanced temperature. As in the EB110, the engine is seen behind a transparent glass surface. The rear is formed into a single ventilation hole, characterised by the eight rear light elements, 2+2 exhaust tailpipes positioned on top of each other in a black matt anodised finish and a performance diffuser to improve downforce. The overhanging rear wing is permanently attached in the style of the original EB110 SS.

Under the hood, the Centodieci features the iconic 8.0-litre W16 engine with 1,176 kW/1,600 hp at 7,000 rpm. An additional air inlet in the area of the oil cooler reliably regulates the temperature of the performance-enhanced engine. The Centodieci sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, to 200 km/h in 6.1 seconds and to 300 km/h in 13.1 seconds; the top speed is electronically cut off at 380 km/h.

There will be only 10 units built of The Centodieci with the price starting at £7.4 million before tax all of which have been sold before the cars official release. The first deliveries are expected in 2021.

DETOMAS P72

To celebrate its 60th anniversary Italian sports car makers De Tomaso has unveiled a new limited-edition P72 sports , a tribute its 1960s P70 prototype racer.

Founded by Argentinian immigrant Alejandro de Tomaso in Italy 60 years ago, De Tomaso is regarded as one of the wildest car-building enterprises the world has ever seen. Now, six decades later, the investor behind Apollo Automobil is determined to do Alejandro's legacy justice with the launch of this super sleek, curvaceous body dripping in copper.

Previously unveiled at the Goodwood festival of speed the P72’s flowing surfaces, bold lines and emphasized wheel arches, case a carbon fibre chassis but it is inside where this car really excels. The interiors feature quilted leather and shiny copper gauges exuding opulence and luxury

No technical details have been revealed as yet but what we do know is that De Tomaso will build only 72 of the P72 model ( hence the name!) with an estimated starting price of €750,000
