Unveiled earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show the Koenigsegg Jesko is one of the most desirable hypercars at the moment and now Koenigsegg founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, has revealed a special edition version of Jesko, the Cherry Red Edition 10.
Commissioned by new online luxury car sales portal called Luxuryandexpensive,
the Cherry Red not only comes with Koenigsegg’s signature dihedral synchro-helix doors and carbon fibre monocoque chassis, but also the Triplex dampers, adaptive active rear steering and, as standard, lightweight 20-inch alloy or carbon fibre wheels weighing 6.7 kg at the front and 8.4 kg at the rear. Weighing 1 320 kg, the Cherry Red’s interior is similar to that of its sibling, although buyers have the option of leather or Alcantara upholstery.
Under the hood the Cherry Red is powered with twin turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 engine offering an output of 1,252hp on regular unleaded fuel. When E85 is used, output jumps to 1,578hp and 1,500 Nm of torque meaning the Jesko can hit a top speed of 300 mph.
Production of the Koenigsegg Jesko starts at the end of 2020 with a one off edition price $2.8 million (2,350,000 euros).
