The new Tiffany & Co Nike sneaker collab is not as highly anticipated as one would expect!
Following the announcement of a leaked Nike x Tiffany & Co. sneaker collab online last week, Tiffany executive Alexandre Arnault, was quick to set the record straight (well nearly!) on Instagram with his post confirming that YES there is indeed a collaboration with a post showing a Tiffany & Co inspired Nike trainer box. Oh the intrigue!
In response Tiffany and Co posted images to their instagram account unveiling the new Nike collab which will be available at two Tiffany & Co New York City locations and globally via Nike’s SNKRS app from 7 March. The post showcases a pair of all-black, suede Air Force 1 with a Nike swoosh in the brands trademark Tiffany blue bearing .925 sterling silver heel tabs and Tiffany script sewn onto the tongue tag.
For die-hard fans of both Tiffany and Nike, further accessories are up for grabs such as a Nike x Tiffany shoe cleaning brush and a shoehorn.
Despite the unique crossover between these two power brands, the upcoming collaboration has not set social media alight with one Twitter user describing the sneaker as “lazy.”
Another person went even further and wrote: “I know ‘Just Do It’ is the tagline but maybe they shouldn’t have in this instance.”
The Tiffany & Co sneaker will drop this spring at a retail price of $400.
