Dubbed the “Art of de Grisogon" and famed for signature black diamonds, luxury jewelers De Grisognono was established in 1993 by Italian-Lebanese designer Fawaz Gruosi over the years the high end luxury jewelers lavish designs have been worn by some of the worlds most famous people such as Rita Ora, Salma Hayek and Naomi Campbell.
However most recently the Swiss jewelers has sought to find financial backing following rumors which began circulating back in 2017 that the company was caught up in an alleged money-laundering scandal involving Isabel dos Santos, the daughter of Angola’s former president, and her husband. Media reports have stated that De Grisogono was loaned nearly $150m from Angolan entities to pay off the struggling company’s debts and expenses.
The Board of de GRISOGONO SA have released a statement claiming deep regret that the situation has arisen and thanking its staff for the quality of their work, their resilience and loyalty.
