Jacob & Co. expands further into the world of luxury living with its newest venture into high-end spirits. Already synonomous with high-end jewelry and watchmaking and most recently architecture following the launch the Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Residences skyscraper in Dubai. Jacob & Co have unveiled a limited edition Jacob and Co / Alec Monopoly Malt Scotch Whicky.
With the help fo legendary Master Blender Andrew Rankin the whisky is the result of 30 years of patience and craftsmanship. It has been aged in first and second fill ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, which gives it its rich flavor and aroma. On the nose, this has an enticing vanilla and honey sweetness followed by a rich maltiness and a distinct fresh green apple aroma completed by a rich and warming oak woodiness. On the palate, you’ll experience an initial burst of rich honey and creamy sweetness, followed by a spicy and peppery yet rounded maltiness. The finish is warm and rounded, with vanilla sweetness and a lingering rich oak mouthfeel.
Presented in a limited edition bespoke decanter, designed by Constellation X and co-signed by street and contemporary artist Alec Monopoly. The NYC-born creator is a longstanding friend of Jacob & Co. He adds a graffiti layer to the existing complexity of this project. Making this whisky a true child of this day and age, he pimps it up with his signature colors, fonts and typeface. Decanter #1 is a special edition, individually and personally painted by Alec Monopoly. The artist left his mark on the decanter, holder and box, making it a piece of contemporary and tasting art. This bottle will be offered at auction.
Only two thousand decanters of the finely crafted nectar will be made available, at a retail price of 2,500 USD.
