RICHARD MILLE UNVEILS RM 60-01 AUTOMATIC FLYBACK CHRONOGRAPH 'Les Voiles de St Barth'

Unveiled with a stunning new livery...

Les Voiles de St Barth is one of the world’s leading regattas, a highpoint on the nautical calendar in the Caribbean so to celebrate this Haute Horologist Richard Mille has unveiled the stunning updated version of the RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Les Voiles de St Barth, a new limited edition watch that for the uninitiated also masquerades as a compass.

Sadly the Les Voiles de St Barth has not been held since 2020 due to the ongoing COVID pandemic with the next race scheduled to return on 17 Apr – 23 Apr 2022 however in the meantime Richard Mille who has been the title sponsor since 2019 continues with the tradition of creating a race for the event which is normally presented to the winner with the the stunning RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Les Voiles de St Barth, a new limited edition watch of just 80 pieces.

The watch in fact is not a new watch as it was first introduced back in 2014 in a grey/black colour scheme, however for this year the edition carries the St Barth regatta’s colors in turquoise and is equipped with several complications.

It comes with a rotating bezel that allows the wearer to identify their direction without a separate compass. Its second-hand tells the time in a different time zone and is pointed towards the sun, while the rotating bezel is set such that the local hour is shown with the compass headings of North, South, East, and West Point in the correct directions.

Powered by an automatic movement calibre RMAC2 calibre with an autonomy of 55 hours, the watch also has an oversize date display at 12 o’clock and a month indicator. A 60-minute countdown timer at 9 o’clock combined with the 24-hour totalizer at 6 o’clock all encased within a Grade 5 titanium case with Carbon TPT inserts, measuring 50 mm in diameter by 16.33 mm in thickness it is also water-resistant up to 100 meters.

No price has been given for the watch however Richard Lille has announced that all proceeds from the sale of one RM 60-01 will go to support local causes in St Barths.
