Glenlivet, the original Speyside single malt, has a history of releasing rather mysterious whiskies (Alpha, Cipher and Code, for example), and they're at it again with The Glenlivet Spectra!
This time, Glenlivet master distiller Alan Winchester and his team have created a trio of single malt Scotch whiskies (presented in three 20cl bottles) that explore a spectrum of flavours - but don't expect Glenlivet to just tell you what you should be tasting. Instead, the distillery has set up a digital experience for people to explore and challenge their tasting abilities to determine what makes each of the three whiskies unique.
Each expression is a reinterpretation of The Glenlivet’s signature smooth and fruity house style and is released without tasting notes, age or cask information, challenging the senses of Scotch lovers.
Celebrating the disruptive nature of The Glenlivet Spectra, the three bottles of luxury single malt come packaged in an innovative, playful box composed of three compartments with each housing one of the three expressions. Each panel has been designed to subtly nod to the flavour profile of the bottle within.
