TravelX the company building the travel industry's first blockchain-based distribution protocol, and Air Europa, the third-largest Spanish airline flying to over 60 destinations around the world, have announced the close of their first NFT (non-fungible token) Flight Ticket, or "NFTicket," auction raising $1,002,000 USDC.
Designed by prominent Miami-based artist Carlos Betancourt and curated by Ximena Caminos, the first-ever NFTicket ( one of ten tickets to be released ), will grant its holder a first-class AirEuropa cabin from Madrid to Miami on November 29, 2022 before landing at a private event at Art Basel Miami, where the NFTicket holders and artists will celebrate this momentous event in history together.
TravelX was born to reimagine the travel industry and accelerate its adaptation to Web3, by tokenizing travel inventory into NFTs that can be exchanged through the blockchain ecosystem along with digital stablecoins.
