Fans of Dolly Parton can now spend two nights in her personlized tour bus for $10,000 ..
Dolly Parton is giving fans an opportunity to spend two nights aboard her luxurious tour bus, Suite 1986. Home for the legendary country music star for over 13-years whilst she criss-crossed her way around America the road the 45-foot bus has traveled roughly 360,000 miles throughout North America. The most common trips the bus made included the 2,016 miles from Nashville, Tennessee, to Los Angeles, California, and also from Nashville to Dollywood, Tennessee.
In June 2016, Dolly kicked off her largest North American tour in 25 years. The Pure & Simple Tour traveled to more than 60 cities in the U.S. and Canada and was the longest tour Dolly performed while traveling on this bus. While on the road, Dolly spent most of her time writing. She wrote albums such as “Backwoods Barbie” and “9 to 5 the Musical,” but she also wrote books, television shows and movies.
The Prevost tour bus has been Dolly’s home away from home as Dolly has a fear of flying flying, so it was important that the bus reflected the iconic stars personality. A number of customizations and upgrades were done to make sure the bus was fit for Dolly often referring to it as her “Gypsy Wagon.”
Painted in mostly floor-to-ceiling pink and purple decorations with hand-painted murals adorning the interior walls. The bus was also updated with electric doors, a bathtub, a wig cabinet, and a full-size refrigerator. A bunk bed was removed to make room for Parton’s closet of costume jewelry, Christian Louboutin shoes, and glittering gowns, which are on display like a mini-museum inside the bus.
This year Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa acquired the tour bus and created the Suite 1986 Tour Bus Experience a $10,000 experience sleeping two guests, the reservation also includes a DreamMore Resort guest room for up to four additional guests.
Suite 1986 is now available to book at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort & Spa in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
