Fans of Elvis Presley could take to the road in one of his personal stretch limousine, his last motorcycle or in one of his pickup trucks at the drop of the hammer.....
Kruse GWS Auctions in Los Angeles recently announced that these 3 legendary automobile items belonging to "the king" will be placed in auction on Aug. 31.
The vehicles include a white 1973 Lincoln Continental stretch limousine (the car the music icon often used to get around Memphis, Tennessee), a GMC pickup truck that has since been restored and a 1976 Harley Davidson FLH 1200 Electra Glide motorcycle, the auction house said.
Elvis loved his motorbikes and the auction house said the 1976 Harley Davidson FLH 1200 Electra Glide motorcycle was the last motorcycle Presley ever purchased. He transported it from California to Memphis and sold it 90 days before he died in 1977 at age 42. The Harley has been on display at the Pioneer Auto Museum in Murdo, South Dakota, since the late 1980s.
