MICHAEL DOUGLAS'S MAJESTIC MALLORCAN MANSION

The stunning estate situated on Spain's Balearic Island of Mallorca known locally as S'Estaca which the actor purchased with his first wife Diandra has been relisted yet again.

Located in Valldemossa, one of Mallorca’s prettiest villages, the country estate is set within an incredible 247 acres (100 hectares) in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, overlooking the Balearic Sea on Mallorca’s West coast, and mountains to the East.

Over the past few years Michael has tried to offload the 150-year Moorish inspired estate which houses a collection of seven independent units which include: five apartments, a 'loft' and two cottages, providing luxurious accommodation for no fewer than 20 people each, and each time the estates price has been dramatically reduced, when the property was first listed back in 2014 it was listed for an eye-watering €50million nearly double that of it's current listing price of €28.9million.

The main house was purchased by Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Habsburg the son of Leopold III of Tuscany and Marie Antoinette de Bourbon in 1867, who converted it in the Aeolian architectural style. Tastefully refurbished in 1990, it boasts a spacious master suite with open fireplaces, terraces and supreme sea views. The property also includes a library, a multimedia lounge, a bodega, a Moorish pavilion, dining terraces, a gym, spa and marble-lined swimming pool and countless other treasures. The port of S’Estaca adjoins the estate with a private pier and fisherman’s house. Surrounded by a mature Mediterranean garden with a variety of trees, the property also has further terraces with ancient olive trees, vineyards and woods.

The estate is listed with Engel & Vӧlkers Mallorca West, for a sale price of €28.9 million
