Marcus Ericsson could take part in this weekend Belgian Grand Prix, as it was announced he has traveled to Spa instead of heading to Portland for his next IndyCar round ...
Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Raikkonen appears to have pulled a muscle in his left leg ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix meaning Alfa Romeo reserve driver Marcus Ericsson could take his place on the grid.
As usual, the frank Finn has downplayed the injury "I pulled a muscle and that's about it," said Raikkonen. "We will see what happens. Obviously we need to have some back-up plans. It would be stupid not to have our third driver in case I couldn't be driving."
Ericsson was officially replaced by Kimi Raikkonen in the team’s line-up this year, committing to Schmidt Peterson IndyCar.
