German aviation startup company Volocopter specialist in urban air development has announced that its air taxi's "Volocity" will be taking to the skies of Paris by as early as June 2021 as part of a series of tests with plans to have the flying taxis operation in time for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Volocopter which has been flying since 2011 and has already notched up successful test flights in Singapore, Helsinki and Dubai, will test its VoloCity all-electric flyer at the Pontoise Airfield which is located just 35 km northwest of the city.
In collaboration with Groupe ADP and RATP Group plans are now afoot for the development of facilities and veriports around the city with projects set to be announced on December 18.
